The Charmed Circle Part 3

Location: Life Science Class, with Doctor Nikidik
Characters: Boq, Elphie, New Kid.

And Scene:

Boq questions Elphie about the work that Doctor Dillamond was working on before he was murdered. Elphie replies that she was able to get most of the work before the police took it. She also refuse to let anyone see the work, claiming it is too dangerous. (What is so dangerous about a couple pieces of paper?)

The Doctor decides to spice up the snooze-fest by performing a spell on one of the founding members portraits with a potion. However a new student enters the room, and the doors creates a draft that turns the potion into a mist, and antlers on the wall come to life and attack the new kid. Boq says: “What an awful welcome to Shiz” (Maguire 142) more like; “What a Shiz-y welcome.” (Epp, Head) Luckily he is saved by Crope and Tibbett.

Meanwhile Glinda and Nessa have an argument about how sorcery corrupts your religion.

Glinda: (Wanting to tell Nessa to f*** off.) (Not the word choice the author would have chosen, but it works.)

Back in Doctor Nikidik’s class, he decides to up the anti on his failed attempt to impress the class. He decides to explain to the class that when animals are young it is hard to tell whether or not they are animals or Animals. He brings in a lion cub, and decides to show the class that if the animal is cauterized in the part of the brain that develops language, the animal will not become and Animal.

Luckily, just in the nick of time, two student save the poor cub that was about to receive a beating.
